A few more rooms have opened up for Arisia at The Renaissance, and we have cleared our wait list of people who are willing to accept rooms at that hotel! If you would like a room at The Renaissance, which is only 2 blocks away from The Westin, for the Arisia weekend, please e-mail us at hotel@arisia.org and we will get you the link. Make sure to contact us ASAP as our reservation link expires on January 10th!

We would like to offer limited ASL interpretation at Arisia, on Saturday and Sunday during the day. If you would use this service, you MUST let us know by December 31st. Please email access@arisia.org if you have questions.
Any Deaf Attendees who wish to bring an interpreter with them, can get a free (Adult-in-tow) membership for their interpreter, when they register.

With 2 weeks to go before Arisia, those of you who do have a room reservation at The Westin or The Renaissance but need to change or cancel it, please be aware of the following deadlines:

If you need to alter your arrival or departure date, please submit the request ASAP via our special request form at http://2014.arisia.org/HotelSpecialRequests. The deadline for submitting reservation modifications is Saturday, January 11th, so that we have time to process it with the hotel.

Do you want to welcome everyone to Arisia? Are you calm under pressure as well as friendly? At Con Registration Staff need to be able to use a computer well (search, point and click), follow written procedures, maintain a happy, helpful presence in the face of thousands of attendees, and handle money and credit card machines accurately. The work is not physically demanding, but requires a lot of mental and social engagement with few breaks.

Do you like feeding people? Are you super organized and comfortable taking on a leadership roles behind the scenes of a convention? Are you local? Arisia is looking for an Assistant Division Head of Food Services. The ADH of Food will assist the Div Head to recruit people to lead Food Areas, work with that year's Arisia leadership group to find appropriate hotel space for their areas, make a realistic budget for the division, provide guidance to staff in the division, and accurately represent needs for the division.
